6 minutes

You know what is one of the best times of the day?

6 minutes before ANYONE comes to my classroom every morning:

Clean (ish).

Quiet (ish).

Organized (ish).

Full of Hope.

Missing insight.

Blank walls.

Lacking (ish).

Empty (ish).

What was I supposed to do today?

And then the phone starts ringing and the emails start dinging and the students come in.

And everything begins.

They are the only part that matters.

  1. I think those last 6 minutes are my most forgettable. It’s the next 6 I remember most clearly.

  2. Beth says:

I value that quiet me time too.
