Lucy

Lucy is my two year old terrier that I rescued last June. It was possibly the best decision I’ve ever made. That is a picture on the way home from adopting her.

She’s a good cuddler.

She dislikes dog treats and rarely eats the cheese I try to bribe her with.

She thinks she’s 4 times the size she actually is.

My friend helped me name her but since then I’ve realized that it’s a name in many movies I hold dear (While You Were Sleeping, American President… etc… Also, did you know people have websites that lists all “characters named _____”? See the Lucy site here: http://movi.ca/character/Lucy/).

Lucy often brings me a toy that I then throw so she can go retrieve it. Often… when I throw it, she just sits down next to me. As if to say “Now that I have your attention, I’m sitting here.”

She wants to play with every cat, dog, duck and human that walks by. And to show it, she barks… really… freakin’… loudly.

She’s asleep next to me. ❤

I have a rescued Lucy, too. She’s a basset hound. She is a good cuddlier and likes to press her back against me while we sleep. My Lucy wasn’t properly socialized so she s a little fear aggressive towards other dogs. We are working on it. She knows to look at me when she sees a dog. She gets a treat for it. Bassets will work for food.
